Will-Power OH Proposes Apollo Power Generation Facility Adjacent to Meta Data Center in Ohio

NATURAL GASENERGY STORAGEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Will-Power OH, LLC, a subsidiary of The Williams Companies, has filed a Letter of Notification with the Ohio Power Siting Board to construct the Apollo Power Generation Facility in Wood County. The facility will feature a 350-megawatt natural gas-fired power plant and a battery energy storage system, located next to a data center complex being developed by Meta in Middleton Township.

The application was submitted on November 5, 2025, and could receive automatic approval by February 3, 2026, if no concerns are raised. The power plant is intended to supply electricity directly to the data center, with construction expected to start in early 2026 and partial operations by mid-2027.

The project will also require air permitting from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. Public commenting on the project closed on November 18, 2025.
