World Bank and Multilateral Lenders Collaborate on 670MW Dudhkoshi Hydroelectric Project in Nepal

The world's leading multilateral and bilateral lenders are collaborating with Nepal's government and NEA to develop the 670MW Dudhkoshi Storage Hydroelectric Project. The project, estimated at $2.32 billion, involves significant investments from the ADB, AIIB, World Bank, and others, with financial closure expected by September 2026. The project will impact 2,405 hectares of land, affecting approximately 3,300 households, including Indigenous Peoples.
