ZeroAvia Adjusts ZA600 Certification Timeline Following Workforce Reduction
FUEL CELL
ZeroAvia has reduced its workforce by about 50% due to funding constraints, leading to a revised certification timeline for its ZA600 powertrain, now expected by 2027, a delay of 12-24 months. The company will prioritize its fuel cell module for commercial viability and has postponed the ZA2000 system timeline to the early 2030s. Despite these challenges, ZeroAvia plans to relocate fuel cell production to a new site near Glasgow, with full-rate output anticipated by 2028.
