Vungu Solar Pvt Ltd has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company for a 30 MW solar power plant, aimed at supporting Zimbabwe's universal electrification goal by 2030. The project, developed by the Private Infrastructure Development Group in collaboration with Energywise Equipment and Impala Power Company, is expected to provide electricity to around 76,000 households and contribute to increasing the renewable energy share from 7.8% to 31%.
