AEP Reports Q4 2025 Operating Income Driven by Data Center Demand

In Q4 2025, AEP reported an operating income of $1.19 per share, exceeding FactSet's consensus of $1.15. Revenue reached $5.31 billion, significantly higher than the $4.89 billion forecast. AEP maintains its 2026 operating income guidance of $6.15 to $6.45 per share.
The demand for electricity surged, particularly from data centers and AI growth, with 28 GW of load signed since October, totaling 56 GW by 2030. AEP plans to expand its $72 billion investment plan by an additional $5-8 billion for transmission projects.
