Amazon is confirmed as the buyer of 553 acres in Wallula Gap Business Park for $36 million, where it plans to build 16 data centers. The port commission will amend the purchase agreement on February 12. Amazon's investment follows its previous projects in the region, including warehouses and a delivery station in Pasco, and its partnership with Energy Northwest for a small modular nuclear reactor.
