The Junta de Andalucía is investing €219.95 million in two nuclear fusion projects: the Ifmif-Dones particle accelerator and the Tokamak Smart reactor, aiming to position the region as a leader in clean energy. The Ifmif-Dones project will receive €211.95 million to test materials for future fusion plants, while the Tokamak Smart will receive €8 million to develop a spherical reactor for controlled fusion.
