Anglo-Eastern Trains First Seafarer Cohort for Ammonia-Fueled Ships Ahead of 2026 Launch

AMMONIA

Anglo-Eastern has completed its inaugural Pilot Training Course on Ammonia as a Marine Fuel at its Maritime Training Centre in Karjat, India, training 26 participants including senior officers and engineers. The course featured hands-on experience with a LNG/Ammonia bunkering skid for practical simulation.

The company, already managing the ammonia-fueled vessel Fortescue Green Pioneer, will take over management of newbuild ammonia-fueled Newcastlemax vessels from Chinese shipyards. This includes at least two vessels being constructed for CMB.TECH at Qingdao Beihai Shipyard, utilizing WinGD engines.

CMB.TECH has secured ammonia fuel supplies in northeast China and holds charter agreements with Fortescue, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Yara for these vessels.
