atNorth Wins Environmental Award for Data Center ICE03 in Akureyri
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
atNorth has received the Data Center Dynamics (DCD) Environmental Award for its innovative and responsible design of the ICE03 data center in Akureyri. The award was presented at a ceremony in London on December 10.
The data center utilizes renewable energy and the cool climate to reduce energy consumption, with sustainable building materials employed. There is also a plan for waste heat reuse in collaboration with the municipality. ICE03 was also nominated for Data Center Project of the Year in Europe.
