AURAK Researcher Develops Integrated Solar System for Electricity, Green Hydrogen, and Freshwater Production
ELECTROLYZERWATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATIONHYDROGENSOLAR ENERGY
Dr. Uday Kumar Nutakki from AURAK introduced an integrated urban energy system that generates electricity, green hydrogen, and freshwater using concentrated solar energy. The study, involving seven researchers from nine universities, presents a multi-generation configuration that enhances energy utilization while reducing losses in urban environments.
The system achieves approximately 2.05 MW of electricity, 125.3 kg/s of freshwater, and 15.52 kg/h of green hydrogen, with an exergy efficiency of 19.52%. This innovation addresses sustainability challenges, particularly in regions with high solar irradiance and freshwater scarcity.
