Bekaert has recorded a €55 million write-down following the suspension of electrolyser component production in Belgium due to slow market growth in green hydrogen. The halt at the Bekintex site in Wetteren was announced in October amid a broader downturn in the electrolyser sector, which is experiencing delayed projects and excess manufacturing capacity.
