Brazil's CNI President and Vice President Alckmin Discuss Mercosur-EU Agreement and Datacenter Tax Regime
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
CNI President Ricardo Alban and Vice President Geraldo Alckmin met in Brasília to discuss trade agreements, including the Mercosur-EU deal, and strategies to attract datacenters under the Redata tax regime. They addressed the record Brazilian exports of nearly $349 billion despite U.S. tariffs and the legal process delaying the Mercosur-EU agreement's implementation.
Alban invited Alckmin to the Brazil-U.S. Industry Day on May 11 in New York, aimed at strengthening U.S.-Brazil business relations.
