Canton, Ohio, has stated it will review new water service contracts for Perry Township residents on a case-by-case basis amid a dispute over a billion-dollar data center. The ongoing issue involves a 2022 Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) agreement, which restricts Canton's annexation of Perry Township land without trustee approval. Sherer seeks to renegotiate this agreement, but Perry officials have expressed no need for changes.
