Caribbean policymakers and financiers gathered in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, to discuss coordinated efforts for decarbonizing the shipping sector. The roundtable, organized by the IMO's GreenVoyage2050 Programme, emphasized regional coordination, capacity building, and investment facilitation, while connecting the 2023 IMO GHG Strategy with local initiatives. Participants reviewed findings from the Jamaica Maritime Alternative Fuels Study and explored strategies for mobilizing investment in alternative fuel technologies.
