Chetwoods and Global Technical Realty Obtain Planning Consent for 32.2-Acre Technology Campus in Southall
Chetwoods Architects and Global Technical Realty have received planning consent for a 32.2-acre mixed-use technology campus in Southall, within the International Trading Estate. The project, part of a $1bn European data center platform, aims to create a state-of-the-art data center and modern industrial workspace.
The design prioritizes sustainability, security, and operational efficiency, featuring four data center buildings and industrial spaces equipped with photovoltaic panels and high-performance materials. The public realm will include 153 new trees and a biodiversity net gain of 79.4%.
Key facilities include the Union Works office, the canal-facing Boat Yard, and The Pavilion community hub. The development promotes pedestrian and cycle-friendly routes, electric vehicle charging, and improved road access, enhancing local infrastructure and connectivity.
