Chile has inaugurated the National Space Center (CEN), a 5,800-square-meter facility aimed at advancing space research and technology development. The center will enhance national capabilities through domestically produced satellites and foster collaboration among South American countries, featuring facilities such as a Mission Control Center and laboratories for technology and data science. Construction of the CEN began in May 2024, with the goal of increasing national autonomy in the space industry.
