Cidacs/Fiocruz Bahia has inaugurated Brazil's first data center for integrating health and administrative data, enhancing research capabilities on social inequalities and health impacts. Located at the Bahia Technology Park, the facility boasts advanced technology, including 2,600 virtual CPUs and 2.5 petabytes of storage, and is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of processing large data sets for new research projects.
