CJ OliveNetworks to Build South Jeolla's First Data Center with 26MW Capacity

CJ OliveNetworks will participate in the construction of the Jangseong Pinedata Center in South Jeolla Province, the region's first data center, with a total project cost of 395.9 billion Korean won. The facility will have a capacity of 26 megawatts (MW) and aims to alleviate data center concentration in the capital region.

CJ OliveNetworks will handle the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) aspects of the project, essential for the 24/7 operation of data center equipment. The project is expected to support the growth of the AI industry and contribute to an AI innovation ecosystem in South Jeolla Province. Completion is targeted for the first half of 2028, with plans to develop talent in AI, big data, and cloud computing through collaboration with universities and public institutions.
