Columbia Borough Seeks Buyer for Former McGinness Airport Site to Develop Business Park
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Columbia Borough is looking for a buyer to develop the 41-acre former McGinness Airport property into a business park. The site, vacant since 1990, was acquired from the McGuinness Family Trust. The borough received a $9 million loan to prepare the site, with $2 million already utilized for compaction work. A 45-day window for bidders to submit development plans will be open from March 30 to May 15, with a preference for projects like restaurants or small shops over a data center.
