Construction Begins on Hough Side Wetland Project to Enhance Pudsey Beck Water Quality
AMMONIA
Construction has commenced on the Hough Side Wetland Project, aimed at enhancing water quality in Pudsey Beck by naturally treating stormwater through the creation of over 4.2 hectares of interconnected ponds. This initiative is part of Yorkshire Water's £8.3 billion investment plan, which seeks to reduce ammonia levels in the watercourse and support local biodiversity by providing new wildlife habitats. The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2028.
