Corteva and BP Launch Joint Venture Etlas to Produce Biofuel Feedstocks from Crops

Corteva Inc. and BP have formed a 50:50 joint venture named Etlas to produce biofuel feedstocks from crops like canola, mustard, and sunflower, aiming for an annual output of one million metric tonnes by the mid-2030s. The initiative is set to begin production in 2027 and will contribute to the growing demand for sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel, while promoting soil health and providing farmers with additional income. Ignacio Conti will serve as CEO, with Gaurav Sonar as Chair of the Board.
