Côte-d'Or Launches France's First Sovereign Cloud for Data Protection

Côte-d'Or has become the first department in France to establish a sovereign cloud, enabling local data control and protection. The initiative involves a €5 million investment in a data center capable of storing 1.8 petabytes of data, with processing power equivalent to 50,000 computers.
The department is offering cybersecurity protection services for €500, with nearly 200 municipalities already adopting the system. The initiative aims to enhance sovereignty in data management amidst growing AI concerns.
