DEWALT and August Robotics have launched a fleet-capable downward drilling robot designed to accelerate data center construction, achieving drilling speeds up to 10 times faster than traditional methods and 99.97% accuracy across over 90,000 holes. This innovation is expected to save 80 weeks on timelines for a leading tech company, aligning with the projected $7 trillion investment in data centers by 2030. The robot is set for commercial release in mid-2026 and will be showcased at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas from January 20-22.
