Dioxitek Sets New Uranium Dioxide Production Record in Argentina, Ensuring Domestic Supply for Nuclear Plants
FUSION & ADVANCED NUCLEAR POWER
Dioxitek, Argentina's state-owned uranium dioxide producer, set a new record by producing 190 tonnes of uranium dioxide in 2025, ensuring the country's nuclear power plants can operate without imports. This achievement follows significant restructuring and process improvements at the Córdoba plant, underscoring Dioxitek's commitment to a sustainable domestic supply of nuclear fuel. The Atucha I, Atucha II, and Embalse plants collectively provide approximately 5% of Argentina's electricity.
