Drift Energy has launched a renewable energy ship that utilizes high-performance solid wing sailing vessels equipped with underwater turbines, leveraging Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology from Cape Horn Engineering. The 60m catamaran, part of the Wind Power Generation Ship Programme, features AI routing to optimize energy extraction and will generate electricity for onboard green hydrogen production. Over 500 CFD simulations have been conducted to enhance the vessel's hydrodynamics and aerodynamics.
