Dublin Consortium Secures €2.3M Grant for Development of Heat Transfer Fluid Additives

A Dublin-based consortium has secured a €2.3 million grant from the Irish government's Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund to develop additives for heat transfer fluids, enhancing cooling efficiency in data centers, heat pumps, and electric batteries. Led by HT Materials Science in collaboration with Dublin City University and Exergyn Ltd., the project aims to improve energy efficiency by up to 15% using HTMS's product, Maxwell. The fund, established in 2018, has a total budget of €500 million under the National Development Plan.
