EcoPro HN has developed Korea's first MW-class ammonia engine exhaust gas purification system, in collaboration with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and the Korean Register of Shipping. This development is part of a national project aimed at improving greenhouse gas management for ship emissions.

The new system utilizes microwave technology for efficient catalyst heating, minimizing fuel consumption and eliminating the need for fossil fuel-based auxiliary equipment. The technology aims to facilitate the use of ammonia as a carbon-free marine fuel.
