Egypt and the European Union signed grant agreements totaling €125 million to enhance renewable energy investments and support a green ammonia project. The EU will allocate €90 million, managed by the European Investment Bank, for electricity grid upgrades and renewable energy capacity expansion.

A €35 million grant will be directed to Norway's Scatec for a green ammonia initiative in Ain Sokhna. These agreements underscore the strategic partnership between Egypt and the EU, focusing on sustainable energy solutions.
