Eins Energie Secures €1.6M for Green Hydrogen Electrolyser Project in Chemnitz

ELECTROLYZERHYDROGENNATURAL GAS

Eins Energie has secured approximately €1.6 million for the construction of a hydrogen electrolyser and the conversion of natural gas pipelines for green hydrogen use in Chemnitz, supported by the Free State of Saxony. This project, part of a national initiative to establish hydrogen centres, aims to bolster Chemnitz's role as a research hub and ensure a stable hydrogen supply until the 2030s. The funding comes from the EU's Just Transition Fund, contributing to a broader €645 million investment in Saxon lignite regions for structural changes by 2027.
