Elk Grove Village has extended the construction deadline for Nexstar Media Group's data center redevelopment at the WGN radio transmitter site to September 30, 2027, due to ongoing power issues. The revised plan now includes four data center buildings and eliminates the need to replace old radio towers. To support this project, the village will sell a 1.2-acre parcel to Commonwealth Edison for $3.6 million to enhance the necessary infrastructure.
