EMCOR Group Sells UK Operations to OCS Group for $250 Million, Focuses on U.S. Market
EMCOR Group has divested its UK operations to OCS Group UK Limited for approximately $250 million, finalizing the transaction on December 1. This strategic pivot aims to concentrate on the U.S. market.
In Q3, EMCOR reported revenue of $4.3 billion, a 16.4% year-over-year increase, surpassing the consensus estimate. However, its share price fell approximately 16.9% in pre-market trading following the financial report, attributed to results missing elevated market expectations.
The company plans to reinvest the sale proceeds into its U.S. electrical and mechanical construction divisions, targeting organic growth and acquisitions in the data center market. Analysts maintain a positive outlook with a 12-month price target range of $721 to $758.50, while DA Davidson raised its target to $800. Technical indicators show mixed results, with the stock trading about 19.8% below its all-time high.
