DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
EPRI's DCFlex initiative has expanded to nine demonstration sites in the U.S. and Europe, including six new locations in Chicago, Dallas, Ashburn, Manassas, and London, alongside previously established sites in Arizona, North Carolina, and France. Launched in October 2024, the initiative aims to enhance grid reliability and flexibility through AI-driven energy solutions, with collaboration from major companies such as Google and NVIDIA. EPRI projects that data centers could represent up to 9% of U.S. electricity consumption by 2030.
