Equinix Invests $43 Million for Fourth Data Center in Tokyo

Equinix has announced a $43 million investment to build its fourth International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Tokyo's Ōtemachi area, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Estate. The new facility, known as TY4, will be developed in two phases, ultimately providing a total capacity of 750 cabinet equivalents and enhancing interconnections with existing Tokyo facilities. The data center aims to capitalize on Japan's growing data center outsourcing market, projected to reach $20 billion by 2015.
