Equinix has launched its SV12x data center in San Jose, California, in collaboration with PG&E, marking the first facility powered under this partnership. The 20MW, 82,000 sq ft data center enhances the campus's total capacity to 40MW and is part of Equinix's xScale brand, which focuses on hyperscale development. The collaboration aims to ensure reliable power delivery as discussions of a municipal utility continue, with PG&E upgrading its Santa Teresa substation to support the new facility.
