EU Project SUPREME Develops PFAS-Free Electrolyser for Sustainable Green Hydrogen Production
ELECTROLYZERHYDROGEN
The EU project SUPREME aims to create a PFAS-free electrolyser for green hydrogen production over the next three years, led by the University of Southern Denmark and including Graz University of Technology. The project seeks to enhance sustainability by reducing reliance on harmful substances and critical materials like iridium, potentially decreasing iridium use by 75% and recycling 90% of it. The research is co-funded by the European Commission and targets cost-effective production comparable to fossil fuels.
