European Space Agency Launches Supercomputer for Enhanced Space Research and Data Analysis

The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched a high-performance supercomputer at its ESRIN site in Italy to enhance space research and data analysis. Developed in collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the system features around 34,000 processor cores and up to five petaflops of performance, enabling efficient analysis of satellite data and facilitating rapid mission testing. This initiative aims to strengthen Europe's competitiveness in the space sector by promoting collaboration among small and medium-sized enterprises while ensuring data security.
