Fossefall Plans Data Center Development in Harpefoss, Norway

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Fossefall is planning a data center in Harpefoss, Norway, potentially on the site of a closing childcare center. The municipal council has yet to decide on the proposal. Established in 2022, Fossefall aims to create 500MW of AI infrastructure by 2030, powered by renewable energy. PolarDC is also expanding, with plans for data centers in Drangedal and Porsgrunni, requiring a cost-benefit analysis for projects over 2MW.
