GlobalConnect is investing €40 million to triple the capacity of its Nordic backbone network, spanning approximately 1,250 kilometers and connecting major cities like Stockholm and Oslo. The upgrade, set to run from late 2025 to 2027, will enhance data reliability and capacity in response to growing digital demands, including new submarine cables linking Sweden with Finland and other regions. This initiative is part of the broader Bifrost program aimed at modernizing over 3,000 kilometers of fiber networks across the Nordic area.
