Goodram Enterprise Launches 122.88TB PCIe 5.0 Immersion Cooled SSD for Data Centers

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Goodram Enterprise, a subsidiary of Wilk Elektronik, has introduced a 122.88TB PCIe 5.0 SSD designed for immersion-cooled data centers. The drive, part of the DC25F series, is detailed in technical documentation rather than through a traditional launch.

It features QLC NAND in E3.S and E3.L form factors, targeting servers for direct liquid immersion, with sequential read speeds of up to 14.6GB/s and write speeds of 3.2GB/s. The drive is rated for 0.3 drive writes per day over five years, aligning with ultra high capacity enterprise QLC drives.

Goodram claims its SSDs are validated with dielectric fluids for immersion cooling, which can expose hardware to unique stresses. The new model adds to a portfolio that includes PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 SSDs, with capacities ranging from under 2TB to over 120TB. Despite its significance, the launch has received minimal attention in the industry.
