Google Confirms $10B Project Mica Data Center Development in Northland

Google has confirmed the $10 billion Project Mica in Northland, marking one of the largest development packages in the city's history. The project will include five data center buildings, with the first phase expected to take 18 months.

Google will cover energy costs under an agreement with Evergy and will qualify for the company's Large Load Power Tariff. Project Mica includes $1.75 million in workforce funding, supporting local education and career centers. The campus may require up to 500 megawatts of energy at full capacity.
