Güstrow to Become Key Hydrogen Hub in Eastern Germany's Energy Network
ELECTROLYZERHYDROGEN
Güstrow is set to become a key hydrogen hub in Eastern Germany, connecting to a planned hydrogen corridor that links it to Laage and the Rostock seaport, with potential extensions toward Berlin. Two major hydrogen projects are underway: M&M Renewables plans a 200 MW production facility by 2027, and Enertrag is developing a renewable-source electrolyzer site expected by 2030. This initiative aims to integrate hydrogen production, storage, and consumption into the regional energy network, contributing to Germany's national hydrogen backbone.
