The Gujarat government, GIFT City, and Henox IT & Data Centers Pvt. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Cable Landing Station (CLS) in Dhuvaran, Anand district, with an investment of ₹1,317 crore.

The project aims to create over 1,300 jobs and enhance the region's digital infrastructure. It will improve data center capacity and position Gujarat as a hub for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that the CLS will facilitate the development of AI, machine learning, and Global Capability Centers by providing robust international connectivity. The station is intended to link India to the global internet ecosystem and support high-bandwidth applications.
