Hanwha Defense is set to invest $1.3 billion in a new manufacturing plant at Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas, aimed at enhancing 155mm howitzer performance and producing critical energetics. Selected by the U.S. Army for an 'enhanced use lease,' the facility will manufacture triple-based propellants for various munitions, including those supplied to Ukraine, as part of the Pentagon's strategy to optimize land use on military bases.
