HASI and KKR Invest Additional $1 Billion in CarbonCount Holdings 1, Expanding Total Capacity to Nearly $5 Billion

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI) and KKR are committing an additional $1 billion to CarbonCount Holdings 1 (CCH1), increasing the total investment capacity to nearly $5 billion. Each firm will invest $500 million into CCH1, which focuses on long-term capital deployment in sustainable infrastructure projects across the U.S.

The investment period has been extended through the end of 2027 or until all commitments are deployed. This expansion aims to meet rising power demand and the need for flexible financing amid structural changes in U.S. electricity markets, including data center growth and grid modernization.

By November 2025, the HASI-KKR partnership had secured nearly $3 billion in commitments across six asset classes. The enlarged CCH1 platform illustrates the role of private capital in supporting U.S. energy transition efforts.
