Henox to Develop 100MW Data Center and Cable Landing Station in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu

Henox IT & Datacenters Private Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat government and Gujarat International Finance Tec-City to develop a cable landing station in Dhuvaran, Gujarat. This station will include a high-capacity fiber route into GIFT City, with Henox responsible for its design, construction, and operation.

Currently, no cables land in Gujarat, with most on India's west coast landing in Mumbai and some in Kochi. Additionally, Henox announced plans for a 100MW data center in Tamil Nadu as part of Project Horizon, aiming to invest Rs 50,000 crore ($5.5bn) in various infrastructure, including subsea cables and solar projects. Maverick Investments Limited, part of UAE-based Siraj Holdings Group, will initially invest Rs 200 crore ($2.2m) in the data center.
