HKUST Secures Over HKD 77 Million for 13 Research Projects in 2025/26 UGC Funding

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has secured over HKD 77 million for 13 research projects under the 2025/26 Collaborative Research Fund and Research Impact Fund, leading all UGC-funded universities in both project count and funding amount. The initiatives, which include sustainable AI datacenters and automated UAV vertiport development, aim to tackle challenges in artificial intelligence, quantum materials science, and microelectronics, while promoting impactful research for community benefit.
