Hood County Residents Oppose Comanche Circle Data Center Development

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Hood County residents, led by Amy Flint, are opposing the proposed Comanche Circle data center development, a 2,000-acre project by Sailfish Investors. A public hearing will address the project and a potential one-year moratorium on large-scale developments, as concerns arise over its impact on local watersheds, recreation, and wildlife. Despite plans to create 400 to 450 permanent jobs by 2027, the Development Commission has recommended a pause to further evaluate these impacts.
