HOYER Group has inaugurated a new MDI logistics facility in Shanghai in partnership with Covestro, enhancing automation and safety in logistics for the polyurethane industry. The facility, operational since November, focuses on the filling, storage, and logistics of Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate (MDI) at Covestro's Integrated Site Shanghai.

Key features include four automated drum-filling systems and three temperature-controlled warehouses utilizing ammonia-based refrigeration. The facility's control room oversees operations 24/7 to ensure safety and efficiency. HOYER has been providing logistics services for Covestro at this site since 2016, and the new facility has led to a contract extension, reinforcing their long-term partnership and commitment to innovation and quality in the chemical market.
