Hyundai Motor Group to Invest $6.3 Billion in AI and Hydrogen Infrastructure in South Korea

Hyundai Motor Group plans to invest approximately $6.3 billion to establish a new innovation center in Saemangeum, South Korea, by 2029. This project will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and hydrogen technologies.
The center will include a data center with 50,000 GPUs and a robotics facility aiming to produce up to 30,000 units annually, including logistics robots and the Atlas humanoid robot by 2028. Additionally, $2.3 billion will fund solar installations and a 200-MW electrolyzer for green hydrogen production.
