SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUELBIOPOWERBIOFUELS
The International Energy Agency (IEA) reports that India's biofuels production could more than double by 2030 with enhanced policy measures, crucial for energy security and emissions reduction. The growth in biofuels, driven by increased ethanol and biogas uptake, aims to reduce import reliance, support rural economies, and meet climate goals. Since the 2018 National Policy on Biofuels, ethanol consumption has surged from under 2 billion to over 11 billion liters annually, with significant developments in compressed biogas production.
